Decorating Ideas For Wedding Halls

Use Table Lamps

Create height in your reception tables using table lamps. Tip: flowers can jump altogether in case you want, but enclosing the lamps with greenery or flowers is an easy way.

Order Calligraphed Menus

Rather than printing out your escort cards and menus, then choose the design one step farther with calligraphy. Like copperplate for something or black tie more free-hand to get farm-to-table chic there are unique scripts for every single kind of affair. Invest in talent -- place the job on the college's art department and also test out a few pupils for the occupation if your budget does not allow for 200 professionally calligraphed place cards.

Hang Your Flowers

Think blossoms are only for your tables? Think again. Suspending lush arrangements a couple of feet above your guests' dinner plates is a fun way to create a space that is more intimate. (This suggestion is especially handy if you're not so fond of your place's carpeting--just keep people looking up!)

Drape the Ceilings

It is amazing what a tiny fabric can do. Keep it formal and elegant with white fabric, or if you're following a fun vibe, then elect to get a colour like yellow. Bonus: Take this approach and you may go light onto the dining table décor and get the same reception seem.

Pick Up Patterned Pillows

For those who own a lounge area on your reception area (or made one with a few rental furniture), get yourself to a housewares department for a number of pillows. Find them available (IKEA-style) and protect them with your preferred patterned cloth for a few low care pops of festive colour and pattern.

Hang Tapestries

If it is too difficult to bring in big installments to decorate your area but you want to add a little flavor to the walls (or pay up a little less than ideal wallpaper), then look to tapestries. They are easy to transport and require setup.

Insert Terrariums

Perhaps not a flower man? No need to splurge on a bunch of centerpieces. A patch of a few blooms, a terrarium that is romantic, candles, moss and a succulent or 2 and you've got a tablescape.

Reshape Your Own Table Numbers

Desire something unique to your table labels? Consider number presentation. Display your table numbers or names on unique vessels such as wine bottles, lanterns, moss topiaries or festive pennant flags.

Rent Colored Glassware

Instead of pouring your entire reception décor budget into the centerpieces, consider using part of the budget to rent extras like colored glassware--it will make your tables pop in an instant.

Hang (a Ton of) Paper Lanterns

We all know--paper lanterns are nothing new. But multiply the amount of lanterns it is an entirely different story and you generally see hanging by 100 in a reception area.

Photo Backdrops

Create a stunning focal point that doubles as a photo backdrop. Layers of different colours and shapes provide distinct elements to guests. Think about materials that are readily customizable like tissue paper tassels, balloons, garlands of newspaper or greenery flowers.

Produce an Escort Card Display

Rather than having an escort card table, make a bulletin board of seats assignments and display it near the entrance of the reception space. Bonus: You won't have guests squinting at cards, attempting to decode their table number.

Mood Lighting En Masse

When paired with some dramatic uplighting and luxe fabrics, the addition of tall taper candles turns your area to a magnificent scene of dancing lights.

Make a Family Photo Wall

For a simple conversation starter, create a wall of family wedding photographs. Devote a row to your spouse's family or mix them all up. Alternative thought: Showcase your (brand new!)) family tree.

Use a Table Runner That Pops

Search for contemporary table décor inspiration, like this patterned table runner. Rather than having several big floral centerpieces, space them out in smaller bud vases to span the length of the runner (and then show off the routine). This detail can make your china pop.

Nationaleventvenue

Insert a Sprig of Herbs

Simply because you're having a formal wedding does not mean that you can't have a bit fun with your décor. Add herbs such as lavender or rosemary .

Create Chalkboard Signage

Chalkboards are a great way to decorate an entrance or jazz up the cocktail bar. Personalize it by spray-painting it to match the rest of your décor and thrifting a classic frame. Drape with greenery or even a flower garland and chalk away!

Opt for Wood

If you are picking between plastic chairs and tables versus timber, go together with the natural option. Timber has a means of looking polished, although it is still possible to opt for chairs for a lesser cost point.

  1. So adorable decoration ideas for wedding halls. I just loved all of these inspirations. We too have been trying to find one of the prettiest outdoor wedding venues for our wonderland themed ceremony. I was just wondering if you could help to find some suitable locations in LA!!
